Let’s admit it…we ALL have some sort of baggage in our lives that we carry, even if we don’t want to admit it. Overall, I am a very positive person and practice keeping my thoughts positive. Something that a lot of people don’t really know about me unless you’re my bff’s or family is that I LOVE psychology. Learning why we behave the way we do fascinates me. I wanted to be a psychologist, so I studied it for 2 years in college and loved it. However, I just couldn’t see myself trying to solve people’s problems for the rest of my life. I love people and love helping them. Nevertheless, my calling is in Public Relations, and I graduated in that major. I’m a “fixer” in my nature, so I’m always learning and reading on how to keep my brain heathy.
It’s kinda obvious that if we don’t maintain our brain heathy then nothing else in our lives will fall into place, but we DON’T practice it cuz in our society it’s NOT cool and sexy. I don’t care if you have a 6 pack going on or you’re a super model. If your brain and thoughts are not in sync then I can only imagine what your heart looks like!!!
I’m going to start today with a video I watched talking about BAGGAGE! AAAAAAAAAAH!! If we don’t let go of it we will NOT move on with our lives and be happy! So today I challenge you to pop open that trunk (your brain), dig in and recognize what your baggage is and start working on letting it go.
I’ll share mine… I need to let go of the hurt from my past relationships that were failures and the belief that ALL men SUCK! Lol There you heard it here first! It’s something in which I have to work, but it is MY responsibility to deal with the hurt or the pain or the BAGGAGE in my life. The SAME goes for YOU and whatever baggage you have in your life. It is not the responsibility of the person that did the wrongdoing, or whoever you’re blaming… it is YOURS.
One of my favorite psychologist that I love because he keeps it real is Dr. Robi. Check him out in this small clip I captured on my cell phone on a message where he’s talking about baggage. I love recording small clips, so I can take mental notes of what I need to work on in the future! To see the entire video visit here.
Happy Monday everyone! Stay positive and sending you all much love!
